Window Tint Care
After getting your windows tinted it is important to follow a few simple yet very important guidelines for caring for your tint
do not roll your windows down!
While your window tint will provide instant benefits, the adhesive used to hold your tint in place will need 3-5 days to fully cure. Rolling down your windows prematurely could result in peeling the film off the window.
As a reminder, we have placed stickers on your vehicle’s buttons to help prevent impulse actions.
Please note that in the event of an emergency, your windows will still open and function so you should not hesitate to open them if there should there be an emergency.
Please wait the same 3-5 day period to clean your windows.
After the 3-5 day curing period you can clean your windows, to do so please be sure to follow the guide below:
- DO NOT USE:
- Ammonia Based Glass Cleaners
- Paper towels or other abrasive materials
- Recommended for use:
- Microfiber Glass Towel
- Autocorrect Detailing Glass Cleaner
water pockets / haze
We understand that the last thing you’d expect from newly-tinted windows is haziness and maybe little water pocket forming underneath the film, but if you notice this please don’t try to do anything about it or jump to the conclusion of faulty installation. This is completely normal—and temporary. For the first few days after the film is applied, your windows might appear hazy or cloudy due to excess water between the glass and film because the squeegee used to apply the film can’t get every last drop. But rest easy—window film is porous and the water will evaporate on its own, even if it pools together in little pockets
The time it will take to evaporate will vary based on a variety of factors, mostly weather related. The more your windows see the hot sun the faster this will go. During the summer this can evaporate in as little as a few days and in the winter it can sometimes take a few weeks.
